Dispatch writer Aaron Portzline reports via his Twitter feed that Columbus has interest in Ottawa prospect/Binghamton defenseman Brian Lee. Portzline speculates Lee could be part of a trade involving one Nikita Filatov.

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that the Jackets have put Derek Mackenzie on waivers with the intent of assigning him back to the Crunch. He is scheduled to clear waivers at noon tomorrow. Should he clear, he should be available for tomorrow in Bingo.
