Roster move? (Updated 2:30PM Fri)
Theahl.com is reporting that Daniel Tkaczuk has been released from his PTO. Tkaczuk managed 2 penalty minutes and 6 shots on goal during his time with the Crunch.
I haven’t read about this anywhere else, but then again I didn’t really look that hard.
(Update from Dave):
Tkachuk has already been signed to another PTO. The new team? The Rochester Amerks.

Spoke with Tkaczuk last night, apparently he went head first into the boards in Binghamton (which he said is supported by cement, leaving them with little give). My guess is they let him go due to the injury (although I didn’t think you could do that..)

Ouch! Talk about adding insult to injury…
Seriously though, if that’s what happened, that sucks. And yea, I didn’t think you could do that, either. Hmm.

I’m no lawyer, but if that’s the case, I would wonder if being on a PTO takes away any kind of union protection in such a situation. Either way, it sucks for him. Hope he catches on with another team somewhere.

Edited your original post, as I thought it was good to mention, but not worthy of a seperate one. Another misused PTO. I think he will do some things in Rochester.

That was fine, thanks for keeping tabs on it!

He’ll score at least once the next time we play them. Guaranteed.
