Alison Brie is Hot. And Other Stuff.

Some odds and ends while wondering who used the search engine term “syracuse crunch horsefucker” to find us…

It’s been quiet on the hockey front, of course. Plenty of behind the scenes dirty laundry, though, but that’s another story for another time. One day, I’ll let it all out for public consumption…I’m picturing it as some kind of tell-all gimmick for the last days of the site, whenever that is.*

*No, we’re not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.

A couple of things:

1. We’ve gone back to moderated comments for the time being. That’s more of an anticipatory thing than anything else, and it’s got nothing to do with anything specific that’s happened. I’m anticipating a wave of syracuse.com readers finding us for the first time today, and I’m going to keep the quality of discussion high here. That brings us to the next point…

1a. If you’re new here today, welcome! What you should know is that we do things a little differently around here. We’re not exactly family friendly at times, but the one thing we are is honest. I suggest you check out The Manifesto at the top of the main page for a better idea of who we are and what we’re all about.

2. For those of you who are interested in following the upcoming road swing, live video feeds of every game may be found online. If you’re looking for them and can’t find them, email us here at chairmanhows@gmail.com for more information.

3. Given the time of year, we’re probably going to be light on content until next month. There’s nothing going on the rest of the week, and the three of us have lives and families, so we’re most likely going to be scarce the rest of this week. Speaking for myself, I don’t plan on posting much until I return from Tijuana early next month. I can’t speak for Alex or Dave about their plans, but we’ve all been crushing it this month, posting every day with very little positive material to work with, and we deserve a few days off. We provide more Crunch content than anywhere else on the Internet, and I dare say that it’s also the best content.

That’s about it for now. For all our new visitors, welcome. Read the Manifesto, get a sense of what we’re about and what we do, and we hope you enjoy what we offer. For all of our veterans, we sincerely thank you for an incredible 2009, and we look forward to 2010. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday, and let’s hope we get something decent to talk about soon!

And as a gift to all of you horny bastards out there, here’s the incredibly lovely Alison Brie of Community fame spreading some Christmas cheer. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve got a yule log.
