Hi, its Linger,sorry havent blogged in a while been busy and my internet is hit or miss. when i ask what is the problem they say its Russia. Well anyway i got to go home in mid December for 2 days.It was good to see family and do an early Christmas with them . Better then nothing right. My team was not going to allow me to go but after some talk and arguing they agreed for 2 days. This is 2 days at home . It took me 1 day to get home. A flight to Seoul which was 2 hours long and then from there a direct 13 hour flight to toronto. It was a long one but i was so excited that it didnt seem as long as it was. On the way back is another story . Due to my time constraints i had to fly back the other way thru Moscow. So that is around the world in4 days. The only problem is i had many delays starting in Toronto airport where my flight was oversold and i got delayed a day which was good because i got to spend another day with my family . After alot of rescheduling i was on flight next day thru germany and then to Moscow. The flight to Germany was 9 hours . I had to run to my gate there push pass people to get checked in . I got all settled and was on the 4 hour flight to Moscow. We arrived in Moscow and our plane taxied to the farthest spot in airport which made me feel something was up and it was. There was noone there to get us stairs to get off and our bags . Finally after an hour or so we got off plane and took bus to airport . we get into baggage claim area and wait and wait. My next flight is in 2 hours so i cant wait to long right. I try to ask someone if i can leave bag and just go to next flight they rudely responded no.Wait i do. we wait 5 hours there and bags finally come. Why so late i was never told. So agian i miss my flight now i have to get rescheduled and booked into hotel  . i have to wait in two seperate lines for this and finally after 4 hours of that get to hotel and go to sleep for night before finishing my travel the next day 3.5 days later with time change and stuff. But to me the trip was still worth as i got to see family as well i got out of Russia for a few days.

       I got back just in time for the Canadian holidays but i spent \christmas in a hotel on the road and played Christmas day. New Years is Russia big holiday its like our \Christmas with trees, gifts and family . If you didnt know you would think it was Christmas . They take lots of pride in there holiday .After December 31 the country shots down for 10 days and its a party . Everyone is not working and well they are drinking. and drink they do . i watched so many drunk people fall down aand  drinking on streets morning ,noon and night. I mean drunk.Then on January 6 they have an orthodox christmas which from some explaining to me i got that this is the religioius part . Where people go to church and pray and stuff. Its very different but similar , it was interesting to watch and listen to stories .

       My birthday was celebrated here and the coach comes in to dressing room and congrats you on birthday and gives you a small gift of chocalates which all the guys devoured . After that the team claps and your birthday celebration is over.

      As for hockey its going ok we are in second last place and could climb up standings if we put some wins together. i am leading team in scoring now so that is good as that is why i am here they say.

     Well i will try to write next week , i hope everyone had a great holidays and were well behaved. |I see the crunch have put some wins together hopefully they can continue that. Until next time take care . linger
