Most of you know that I am a diehard Leafs fan. Many of you may not know that the Leafs family lost someone this week. Brendan Burke, son of Leafs GM Brian Burke, died this week. Some of you might know a little about Brendan’s remarkable story; others may not. No matter what you may or may not know about it, I ask that each and every one of you that reads this take a moment to read this wonderful piece by my good friend Wrap Around Curl. As a life-long Sabres fan I hate the Laffs, but I am a huge fan of Brian Burke and have followed his career extensively. I was saddened to hear of his sons passing the other day and I wish Burkie and his family nothing but the best.
