So, a certain drama queen in Syracuse has been creaming his pants the last month or so over the possibility of the Crunch switching affiliates to the Tampa Bay Lightning. I have been assured by another source that this may, indeed, be a possibility when our current affiliation with the Ducks runs out. I haven’t paid much attention to the track record of AHL teams affiliated with Tampa, but a brief look at the final standings over the last few seasons clearly showed that Norfolk’s record was pretty much a larger sad clown face than our own. That wasn’t a very encouraging finding, but I didn’t have the time to dig deeper, mostly due to an obnoxiously large painting project we’re currently undertaking.
Luckily for us all, I have amazing friends all over who are willing to d0 such research for me.
Remind me again why Tampa would be such a great option?
