Odds, ends

Things have probably quieted down now for the summer, as you could tell by the lack of posting. We do have a few little tidbits about former players that I wanted to pass along:

  • Ryan Keller signed overseas.
  • Mat Clark is NOT on Twitter. There was a new imposter making the rounds yesterday, alienating Admirals fans and being buddy-buddy with Crunch fans. The Crunch has since confirmed with Clark himself that he is not on Twitter at all and that anyone saying different is an imposter. It’s harder to spot AHL imposters for two reasons: 1) why would anyone really want to pretend they’re an AHL player? and 2) AHL players tend to have a harder time getting verified because of Twitter’s guidelines. So, just be careful, fans. If you suspect anything fishy, get in touch with the team they play/played for. They can usually sort it out, like the Crunch did. Big thanks to the front office for acting so quickly and putting the lid on it.

I also wanted to promote the other half of my blogging life. I’ve recently joined the staff at Raw Charge, another wonderful SB Nation blog. As you can probably guess, I’ll be talking about our team to Lightning fans over there. An article I posted on what TBL fans can do when they come to Syracuse was published today. I’d love it if you all would get them some traffic and throw in any other opinions you have! Commenting is fairly easy, as with all SBN blogs, although RC had a 48 hour wait time if you’re a first time poster with them. They lifted it around the draft, but it might be back in place. It’s to try to cut down on bullshit and trolls, something we know alllllll about, so I don’t blame them. Register now to get in when the fun starts this fall!
