Hey, kids, we have a team!
In anticipation of the lockout, TBL assigned 18 players here today. Notables include reigning AHL MVP and Rookie of the Year Cory Conacher, as well as AHL Defenseman of the Year Mark Barberio. Forwards J.T. Brown and Brett Connolly, both of whom played in Tampa Bay last season, were also assigned here. Training camp has been officially changed to opening in September instead of October, something that was talked about before to get the players some practice time before going up to St. John’s.
